just who is xenocidic anyway, and why are you reading his inane ramblings on life, the universe, and everything?

xenocidic - pronounced "zenn oh sid ick" (though "zeen oh sid ick" is also acceptable) is a derivative word - an adjective of the word "xenocide" which was coined by Orson Scott Card in the Ender's Game series of novels. Xenocide is the deliberate and systematic extermination of an alien species. thus, one who is "xenocidic" has the capacity to bring about such destruction, though does not necessarily exercise this ability unless it is deemed absolutely necessary.

xenocidic has been my online identity (and gamertag) since 2002 when I initially subscribed to Xbox Live. but who is the man behind the tag?

first and foremost, I am a GamerDad. my beautiful baby boy, Ayden James (AJ), was born in September 2007 and I must say, he has forever changed my outlook on life. his arrival has made me more responsible, more determined, and more focused. going to work is no longer a necessary chore, but a means to provide the best life that I can for my son. becoming a father has definitely had an impact on my video gaming time, but it's been worth every missed achievement point.

so, what about this blog? where does it go from here? well, I'll be talking about many things... gaming, parenting, gamerparenting, technology and the world-at-large. oh, and I'm sure I'll post some stuff that might make you laugh.
