rainbow six vegas 2 private first class achievement workaround
Update: If you start with the instructions provided here, you can keep your rank. Make sure you disconnect your Xbox 360's internet connection before starting this part!
I recently posted about Rainbow Six Vegas 2's glitched private first class achievement and how one could workaround the issue if they hadn't yet played R6V2 with their gamertag.
Well, now there's a workaround (discovered by Crucible5) even if you have already started playing. It is confirmed to work (notice how this player has his "Private First Class" achievement after his "Elite" achievement).
Warning: this will reset your rank and A.C.E.S. progress, with no way to get it back. But at least you'll be able to get the PFC achievement. use at your own discretion!

i just wanted to say that this worked thats great. i appreciate the help...i had every achievement except the provate first class and was bored with the game now i have the opportunity to rank back up and try to get my a.c.e.s. as well...so again thanks

This worked for me as well. Not really looking forward to ranking back up, but I really wanted to get that achievement out of the way. Thanks for the help.

cool, ill keep that in mind for awile, ill do it once gta comes out, but for now, i like making stupid custom camos. for example, bright green with brown armour ,and shreks face mapped on. funny as hell

so if you do this do you keep your weapons and armor and clothing if you were previously an elite? or is like restarting all over again?: only having default everything

@lolidk, it's a complete reset, you'll lose everything.
@woody, that's funny. i've seen some pretty funky custom camos. including a "rainbow" camo (looked like a technicolour dreamcoat, heh).

this did not work for me and i have it already i just wanted something to but i guess the update wont let cause ive tried it 6 times now and still im elite ....
